Horseplay Privacy Policy
Who we are and what this policy covers
Horseplay is operated by Game Play Network, the data controller responsible for the personal information you share with us. When we say "we", "us" or "our" on this page, that is who we mean.
This policy explains, in plain terms, what we collect, why we hold it, how long we keep it, and who else sees it. It applies to everyone aged 19 or over who registers, deposits, plays or simply browses while signed in. Read it alongside our Terms and Conditions, which govern your account more broadly.
Have a question we don't answer here? Reach out through our contact channels and a member of our team will help.
The data we collect, and why
We only gather what we genuinely need to run a licensed gambling service. That falls into a handful of buckets.
Identity and contact details. Your name, date of birth, address, email and phone number. We use these to open your account, confirm you are of legal age, and reach you about your play.
Verification records. Copies of ID documents and proof of address, collected to meet our know-your-customer and anti-money-laundering duties. Age and identity checks are not optional for a regulated operator.
Financial and transaction data. Deposits, withdrawals, the payment method you choose — ACH, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, instant bank transfer, Play+, debit and credit cards, digital and mobile-phone payment systems — and your play history. The minimum deposit is 10 USD, and we process these details to credit and settle your balance.
Technical and usage data. Device type, IP address, browser and how you move through the site. This supports security, fraud prevention and site performance.
Who we share it with
We never sell your personal information. We do share it with trusted parties when there is a clear reason to.
| Recipient | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Payment processors | To take deposits and send withdrawals |
| KYC and identity partners | To verify age, identity and source checks |
| Game providers | To deliver the games you play |
| Analytics and fraud tools | To keep the platform safe and functional |
| Regulators and authorities | Where law or our licence requires disclosure |
Each partner is bound by contract to protect what we pass to them and to use it only for the agreed purpose.
Your rights and how to use them
You hold real control over your personal data. You can ask us to:
- confirm what we hold and give you a copy (access);
- correct anything inaccurate or incomplete (rectification);
- erase data where there is no lawful reason to keep it (erasure);
- receive your data in a portable format (portability);
- object to, or restrict, certain processing.
To exercise any of these, message us through our support and player-protection channels or the Help Centre. We respond within the timeframe the law allows and may first confirm your identity. If you are unhappy with how we handled a request, you may complain to the relevant data-protection or gambling supervisory authority for the jurisdiction in which Horseplay is licensed.
How long we keep your data
Retention is driven by law and by the nature of the record. Account and transaction history, together with verification documents, are kept for the period our gambling and anti-money-laundering obligations require — typically several years after your account closes. When a record is no longer needed for any lawful purpose, we delete it or anonymise it. We will not hold your information indefinitely just because we can.
Our legal grounds for using your data
Every use has a lawful basis. We rely on the performance of our contract with you to operate your account, run games from providers such as Spinomenal, Kalamba, Caleta, Oddsworks and Game Play Network, and pay out winnings.
We rely on legal obligation for age checks, identity verification, record-keeping and reporting. Where we market offers or analyse behaviour, we rely on your consent or on our legitimate interests in improving the service and keeping it secure. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting your ability to play.
Cookies and keeping play safe
We use cookies and similar technologies for logins, preferences, security and analytics. A separate cookie notice sets out each category and how you can manage your choices in the browser.
