Why this page exists
Cookies keep Horseplay running the way you expect. We are Horseplay, operated by Game Play Network, and this page explains the small files we place on your device when you visit our site.
Want the bigger picture? Our Privacy Policy covers how we handle personal data more broadly. This page focuses only on cookies and similar technologies such as pixels and local storage. Read it once, and you'll know exactly what we store.
What a cookie actually is
A cookie is a tiny text file saved by your browser. It remembers things so you don't have to repeat them every click.
Some cookies vanish the moment you close your browser. Others stick around for weeks or months so we can recognize your settings on your next visit. We also use related tools — pixels and local storage — and we treat them under the same rules described here. None of these files run programs or read other documents on your device.
The cookie categories we use
We group our cookies into four buckets. Strictly-necessary cookies always run; the rest depend on your choices.
| Category | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Sign you in, secure your session, verify eligibility and keep deposits working. The site cannot function without these. | Session to 12 months |
| Functional | Remember your language, display settings and recent preferences so pages load the way you left them. | Up to 12 months |
| Analytics | Measure which pages and games get used, count visits and help us find bugs. Data is aggregated. | Up to 24 months |
| Marketing | Tailor promotions, measure campaign performance and limit how often you see the same offer. | Up to 13 months |
Consent and how to withdraw it
When you first arrive, a banner asks what you're comfortable with. Strictly-necessary cookies load automatically because the site breaks without them. Everything else waits for your yes.
Changed your mind? You can reopen the preference panel at any time and switch categories off. Withdrawing consent won't affect anything we processed before you did it, and it won't lock you out of your account. Questions about a specific cookie? Reach our team through Contact and we'll explain what it does.
Managing cookies in your browser
Your browser is the master switch. Every major browser lets you view, block or delete cookies from its settings menu, usually under Privacy or Security.
Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge each publish step-by-step guides. You can block third-party cookies, clear existing ones, or set the browser to warn you before accepting. Keep in mind that blocking strictly-necessary cookies may stop you from logging in or placing a wager. Prefer to gamble carefully? Our Responsible Gambling tools work independently of your cookie choices, and the National Problem Gambling Helpline is available 24/7 at 1-800-522-4700 or ncpgambling.org.
